Miley Cyrus No. 1 on U.S. album charts

LOS ANGELES (Billboard) - Teen idol Miley Cyrus ruled the U.S. album chart for the second time in a little over a year on Tuesday with her latest release "Breakout."

The Disney album sold 371,000 copies in the week ended July 27, according to Nielsen SoundScan. That's the second-biggest sales week of the year for a female artist, following the 463,000 debut of Mariah Carey's "E=MC2" in April.

Cyrus' last album, the confusingly titled double album "Hannah Montana 2 (Soundtrack)/Meet Miley Cyrus," started at No. 1 last July with 326,000.

The first "Hannah Montana" soundtrack, which launched her recording career, also bowed at No. 1 in 2006, with first-week sales of 281,000.

The deluxe version of country duo Sugarland's "Love on the Inside" debuted at No. 2 on the latest Billboard 200 with 314,000 copies. The band's previous high came with 2006's "Enjoy the Ride," which debuted and peaked at No. 4 with 211,000.

Next week will mark an interesting sales test, as the standard edition of "Love on the Inside" bowed in stores Tuesday; those sales will be merged with the deluxe edition's total next week. The standard edition lacks five bonus tracks found on the deluxe version.
