Billy Ray Cyrus is getting real.
The country singer and father of Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus is the subject of CMT's new four-part series titled Billy Ray Cyrus: Home at Last—a reference to his most recent album.
The reality-based project will center on Cyrus' struggle to balance his fame with his family life, as he prepares to go on tour. In addition to Miley, Cyrus has a son and daughter with wife Tish, as well as a son from a previous marriage and two stepchildren.
Fourteen-year-old Miley, currently in the midst of her own sold-out tour, will also be featured in the series. The father-daughter duo recently teamed up for an on-air duet of their song "Ready, Set, Don't Go" on Dancing with the Stars last month. (Cyrus appeared on the fourth season of the show, and placed fifth.)
Home at Last is slated to debut on CMT Nov. 24 and to air in half-hour installments over four Saturdays. Jason Hervey and Eric Bischoff, creators and executive producers of VH1's Scott Baio Is 45...and Single, will executive produce.
Cyrus first hit it big 15 years ago with the song "Achy Breaky Heart," which powered his debut album, Some Gave All, to sales of more than 9 million.
He has enjoyed a recent resurgence thanks to his costarring role on Disney's tween sensation Hannah Montana on which he plays his real-life daughter's TV dad.
